Let's all nominate our favorites
The top nominees will then go into a poll for the number one post.

Make sure, that you deny citizienship, if not he will be automaticly israeli if born in Israel. A few years ago, when I had my first son in Jerusalem, I went to do it at the misrat hapnim. I demanded it in writing, it did cost extra 50 shekels for a confirmation, but I think you should get that

Any negative ramifications thereof?

if you (the subject matter) visits Israel later when he gets older, he'll need to go to the army if he's a citizen.

That's if I get citizenship. I'm asking if there are any ramifications of going to the Ministry of the Interior (aforementioned Misrad Hapnim) and denying (declining?) citizenship?

I'm glad I clarified. Hopefully someone can shed some light on that one, because I'm somewhat in that situation and I'm wondering how it affects my status when entering and exiting Israel and/or when making aliya?

For an adult it would be called renouncing citizenship, and I believe it does have ramifications.

Right, so I'm asking for someone who knows to share what those ramifications are.

As of a few months ago there is no need to renounce citizenship, if neither parent is an Israeli citizen the kid will not be a citizen, unless you specifically ask that he should be
