I don’t have a targeted offer in front of me, or I wouldn’t be asking.
Was simply asking if someone can confirm if they see the language in targeted apps.

Whatever, this question became too complex to ask.
Simple question, entirely understood.
I'd assume this language will go into any targeted offer that has the regular language.
I don't think this language will be added to NL offers, unless they do another round of crackdowns with this.
Early DPs of a PRG NL email offer didn't have the new language.

And the hits just keep on coming...https://thepointsguy.com/news/amex-new-welcome-bonus-qualification-tool/

I like the tool. if they are going to restrict it would be nice to know if you are getting a bonus before you apply.

No but we didn't know how that was actually going to be inforced, now we see that they're actually going to deny bonuses based on their arbitrary factors.

The whole language was leaning that way. Now we can at least know how it will be applied instead of finding out after the fact.

True, it's good that you'll know whether or not you'll be getting the bonus before you actually apply but it's still another restriction on amex SUB's and there's no real way to stay clear of what they don't want. There are no stated rules, it's totally arbitrary on their end.

That was happening already with the new language.

"based on your history with American Express welcome offers, introductory APR offers, or the number of Cards you have opened and closed, you are not eligible to receive this welcome offer.
We have not yet performed a credit check. Would you still like to proceed?
Note: Your application will be considered withdrawn if no action is taken on this page."

So if I got the above language for one of my recent amex applications am I likely ineligible for any amex bonus for a while? or do I have other options?

Hi

I got the not eligible for welcome bonus message for an application of a card I never held. I was approved for a few other Amex cards this year. Is there any way to know when I may become eligible again to receive welcome bonuses?
