The gift card ones they may not cancel b/c they have a limited number they sell. (as opposed to the trying to game the rebate ones). What do they care who buys them?

I called up to cancel my INK today... without a wink they told me they will issue me a credit statement for the annual fee...

How did you get them to waive the fee? I tried but they wouldn't budge so I had to cancel the card foolishly. And now I miss out on lucrative offers like this one :(

She told me she had to connect me to a supervisor to cancel, 30 seconds later she comes on that she will just give me $95 to keep it open as the annual fee was the reason i was closing it.
