You must've been paying them some heavy interest if they needed you so badly as a customer...

That may have helped

I was late accidentally once... they waived the late charge but didn't wave the $1.02 or something interest.

Very lucky, I had at least 20K of spending on it between wedding expenses and various MS'ing. I guess I'll sign up again on the next bonus opportunity
