Had the same story. Got a message from them to update with new exp and I didn't but charges are going through successfully.

Its called token billing. The idea is there is a unique token (code) established between ez pass's CC processor and your bank/card therefor enabling them to keep charging a card even though there is a change (even the cc #)

+1, similar to this i once closed a AU on my account that was charged automatic every month on sears, and the charge was going thru after i closed the AU like never happened, called in amex and they said that since it was established between them this charge for months it will go thru as long the primary card is open
Do u have any different idea for a signature?

But it runs deeper, because on EZ Pass' website by my cc info, it actually had my new exp date on the cc profile. Chase must have notified them.
