Yes, I wouldn't be transiting BEY, I'd be visiting Beirut on a 16 hour stopover...

Turkish air
« Reply #94 on: March 27, 2016, 02:18:15 PM »
Hi,
I'm planning a trip to Israel with my family's for Pesach, I booked with Turkish air several months ago but I'm getting a little nervous. I would appreciate to hear from anyone who has flown with them recently or is planning to close future. Is it safe etc?

No. 86% of people who fly Turkish don't survive the journey. The percentage rises when it comes to those of Jewish descent, with the mortality rate hovering around 97.2%. If you want to be safe, have a pleasant flight, and get a good deal without putting your family and everything you hold dear in mortal peril, fly El Al.
Who do you think you are fooling? You think you are going to pull a quick one on your Creator? Good luck with that.

What is the concern? That they are out to harm Jews on the plane or at the airport? If you are not staying in turkey for your vacation (which would warrant some potential concerns) it is a non concern *IME* and miles better then the *oh so safe* LY.
