I've been there. Taipei 101 is a must do. The GH Taipei is nice and a 60 second walk from Taipei 101. This thread belongs in the destinations and trip planning advice thread btw :)

The shliach there is a very nice guy! Actually this applies to other places too but I think that if you're planning on eating by him/using his services it would be nice and appropriate to offer him to bring him stuff from the USA (if you're able to).
