That helps if the husband is in kollel, but if the wife is a stay at home mother while the husband works they are not eligible.

To be fair, he seems to do a lot more than just legal counsel for the BOE. Still it's really excessive, even for a defacto commissioner.

If i'm not mistaken, there are two state appointed monitors who have to sign off on every BOE expenditure in Lakewood.

The APP hates MI, and they take every opportunity to bash him. I am not getting into the crux of the matter, as it involves the potential that something I say will cause someone to respond with lashon harah, but what I know to be true is that the APP just keeps pushing this narrative while overlooking the most basic question: that a state monitor - who has full veto power - approved it, so there must be something more to this story.

Why don't you call a BOE member and ask. The fact they won't tell the APP is not an indication that they won't tell you.

In my experience, they have been quick to explain why they do things when asked.
