Driver speeding on the 9 wasn’t Jewish.

Correct, but that wasn't my point. The point is we should be doing out utmost to prevent situations like this from happening. We should not be relying on Nissim.

If you watch the full video, you can see that there was aggressive driving from the other motorist too. It was typical Lakewood driving - and this is the point that yelped is highlighting: aggressive, reckless driving is the norm in Lakewood because of the massive congestion.

I didn't quote the post to judge, just to point out how dangerous it is to drive in a city (not town) where everyone is rushing and pressured. In any case, I think he didn't see the other driver, not aggressive. But it's sad that we just accept this and go on with life instead of organizing massive asifas to put a focus on safety (and Derech Eretz and midos, besides for QoL issues).

He definitely didn't see the other car, there was a tractor trailer which had blocked his view.

An asifa won’t help much at all. Lakewood drivers aren’t aggressive and unsafe by nature, and don’t have bad derech eretz. They’re taught to drive aggressive and unsafe by the roads. Way too many intersections are impassable without an aggressive, unsafe turn. I would guess intersections are the leading area of accidents around town.

When you force everyone to break the rules multiple times daily, it’s only natural to see a general lack of care in following the rules, some people more than others. There’s not much we can do to fix the roads at this point and pointing fingers at those responsible doesn’t do anything to solve the issue. And so it will continue.

This new website seems to be really solid!
It's been a week, and I'm really impressed by this website. They constantly have good reporting on subjects missed by all their competitors.

Just to dispel the notion: I have absolutely no connection with this website.

While we’re on this topic, unfortunately our community is often reactive, not proactive. People walking on cross scares me to death. Sidewalks may be a pipe dream due to dif city/county/environmental/etc processes. But maybe clearing some light brush can be done in the near term...

I found it quite disturbing that such a video was posted in the open, especially in front of family and friends. “WATCH: Your friend getting killed”

No words.

That the infrastructure is terrible and requires dangerous driving maneuvers is true. That it leads to aggressive driving even in normal driving situations is true, too. However, we can work to reduce the aggressive and mindless driving in other situations even if we can't fix the infrastructure just yet.

I contacted one of the sites, and they responded that they’re taking it down
