https://lakewoodalerts.com/read-it-rabbi-eisemann-attorneys-blistering-rebuttal-of-prosecutors-appeal-against-retrial/

Here’s my take on this. The prosecution was sure Rabbi Eisemann would take a plea bargain and that was the game plan. The next move would have been to take down SCHI. When Rabbi Eisemann didn’t go along with the playbook and plea guilty of a crime he never committed, they actually had to go to trial and back up their accusations. It’s now coming to light that the only way they got convictions on two of the charges was by withholding evidence they knew would exonerate him. They never intended it to get this far but they’ve now dug themselves a hole they can’t climb out of.

It’s also become personal now, after the Brady violations have come to light. And the significant local anti Semitic backdrop to this case should not be overlooked. I’m sure the first judge felt pressure to convict on “something” and that pressure will likely continue.

I have to wonder if at this point some large scale protest can be considered. I understand why it wasn’t until now, because the injustice wasn’t necessarily obvious so it would come across as a pressure campaign and not genuine outrage. But at this point it’s fairly obvious that that there is gross prosecutorial overreach going on.

Public protest to sway prosecutors doesn't seem like a winning path.

A few well placed calls to Murphy should do the trick. The question is - are they being made and ignored? Or not being made?

Public protest to sway prosecutors
That would not be the point.
And Murphy might listen nicely if it draws state wide outrage. He doesn’t want to be seen as capitulating to the Jews.

Probably not the best idea at this point. Let the justice system play out without any accusations of “trying to influence the Courts outcome”. The lies and false accusations are all coming to light now anyway.

The more serious question I believe is what can be done to make sure that the chilling weaponizing of a US Court of law for anti Semitic reasons (like by Rubashkin) never happens again.

Typically that would be at the end of the fall. Either way, it would not have helped for Friday's storm. It just sat in one place for an hour dropping 4 inches of rain in that one hour.

Yup! Drains were totally clear...still had water over the sidewalks and driveway.

FTFY

While drains may not have fixed everything fully, some places like my block have a single storm drain, and every storm it quickly gets clogged with all the twigs, dirt, and junk it picks up along the way. Once you unclog the drain it clears up the flooding pretty quickly (until it gets stuffed again).

In my case either having another drain or having the streets cleaned regularly (ha!) would help immensely. Thankfully the state is putting a storm water basin soon and that should do the trick.

Construction also significantly affects drainage. When what had been land is now rooftops with gutters and driveways then water that had stayed on the property will now flow onto the streets. If there are side streets then that can flow onto the main streets etc.

Thought about that but doesn’t explain it all. Streets like route 9, Clifton and other blocks that haven’t seen construction in years flooded like I’ve never seen before.
