I'm forever traumatized at having been pulled from class when I was 10 years old because my parents were behind on tuition.

Then made to sit with my younger siblings in school lobby with the other kids pulled, for hours till my mother picked us up

I know teachers need to get paid and parents may not prioritize this And may even abuse it but don't put this on the kids

I think this will boil down to if the parents simply can't pay or if their prioritizing other things before paying. Parents are the bigger half of the partner with the school.

Kudos to the school for advising the parents not to send the kids to school to avoid this.

I know tuition is a massive expense and some people are really struggling. Bottom line is that nothing in Lakewood indicates this. People are spending money like never before and the schools have had enough of being the last on the list.

I asked a few people and no one was able to tell me an area where people have been cutting back. Simchos, clothing, cars, vacations are as elaborate as ever. Schools are done with the no money excuse
