Years ago HH ran a whole series of ads poking fun at current events. At the time there was a push by Bnei yeshiva to improve tznius around yeshiva. Someone wrote a letter in to a Lakewood publication complaining that a woman near yeshiva was not dressed with enough tznius and when she bent over he was nichshol seeing exposed skin. The next week the ad from HH entitled “say it with plush” which substituted plush for various attacks on askinim poked fun at the yungerman. Something like “she bent over and I saw her PLUSH” or something like that. That did it for me.
You sure that wasn't a prominent Lakewood-based organization who ran that ad?  :P

The editors most likely weren't aware. Reminds me of some frum people shopping in Target who bought their kids matching clothing from the Pride section.
Let's not even start with the Ami debacle.

Isn’t that a question on the Voice?
I called the voice numerous times about that ad and never got through to anyone. I left many messages and never heard back. I decided that they didn’t chop and were mortified and decided the best plan was to ignore it and hope most people don’t chop, rather then apologizing for it and bringing attention to these topics.

It was the weekly toys for thought (was it called Toy Traders back then?) ad that poked fun at current events each week with oblique references

I was poking fun at an organization that ran a similar ad, making fun of people who didn't want to see pictures of long shaitels...

Having Harold on the township committee would definitely bring the fun times back. Remember this?

https://caselaw.findlaw.com/nj-superior-court-appellate-division/1654960.html

During this “give and take” between the Mayor [Langert] and Herskowitz, Langert asked Herskowitz if he would mind repeating a comment he made privately to Langert when Langert told him he may not enact one of the Commission's ideas.   Herskowitz replied that he told Langert “if you don't agree with me I will paint my store black and paint a picture of a hand with the finger raised with a picture of you (Langert) on top of the middle finger[.]”  “And what did you say you would write underneath the picture[,]” queried Langert further.  “I said I would write “Drop dead Mayor Langert[,]” answered Herskowitz to which Langert implied the language used by Herskowitz was of the foul variety

I vaguely recall HH making a video parroting "The Rent is Too Damned High" party. Does anyone have that video?

Going against the establishment in any community requires great wisdom and an advisor with "breite pleitzes". He does not seem at this point to have any of that. Anyone who writes against Rabbonim in ANY venue, let alone a non-Jewish one has lost all sense of perspective.

I believe that the only way to get any change in Lakewood is if a respected Rov would run for office and bring the issues to light. Hershel is not the right person - never was the right person (although I did vote for him last time).
HH will just bring scorn upon those of us who are against the status quo.

Never going to happen for as long as AK is running the show. I think our only hope right now is for HH to get close or even win the primary so someone else can run and win next year. I personally don't see an issue with HH being 1/5 people on the township committee, it's not like he would have any power.
I wonder what people who type "u" instead of "you" do with all their free time.

Both NYC and Lakewood each have their own Herschel. Thankfully the Lakewood one is marginalized.

This is what reminded me to post. Compared to his other rants I actually enjoyed it.

HH's "packaging" is much more marketable.

More? not saying much. Much more? You need to rethink marketing.
