2. May be of questionable legality. Do you really want the Govt mandating when private businesses can or can't be open?
3. Won't help other that to create higher density as people clamor for housing near their preferred schools.
4. What if you actually need to get somewhere then?
I said they were fantasies ;)

3) what's wrong with higher density if traffic is reduced?
4) take a bus ;)

You pay a fee. There would have to be plenty of transport options available, but places like downtown London charge congestion fees to eliminate private cars, and limit traffic to buses, taxis, and bikes.

From LNN:

"At the time of the trial, the bookkeeper, who no longer worked for SCHI, was not aware that the entry she made was at the heart of the case against Rabbi Eisemann. Now that she has become aware, she has come forward to testify to his innocence."

Voter turnout in Lakewood was an abysmal 6.9 percent.

And we think politicians will listen to us...  :(

I am very familiar with the story.

The charge Rabbi Eisemann was convicted of was not the main charges they went after him for. In every newspaper, they said that he stole government money meant for the school. The jury cleared him of all those charges. The remaining charges were spoken about for only a minute or two during trial. They would've fallen off when the jury cleared him of the charges of stealing if not for the fact that the judge changed the rules last minute to make the charges not depend on each other (this happened after the defense finished presenting their witnesses.).

It is highly likely that the bookkeeper never knew that her entry had anything to do with the case, and being that she was one of three bookkeepers that worked for the school - and she doesn't anymore, it isn't strange that she was not involved until it became clear that Rabbi Eisemann is likely headed to prison.

If this is not clear, feel free to PM me.

This sounds like a major goof by the legal team

Not at all. This was a major curveball that was thrown at them, and there was no way they could've anticipated it until it was too late.

Then, once he got a light sentence, people weren't so worried. But now that the appeals court is demanding an estimated 10-12 year sentence, the bookkeeper came forward.

There's another small point, but I'll PM.

There is always the chance that charges will be separated and to not defend against the lesser charge is a pretty bad goof

I dont understand, do they want to sentence him for 10-12 years for a 12 day loan ?
Is that correct?
