IMO, he missed a big opportunity to get Trump-like support here. One pardon and he would have won a huge percentage, plus a big turnout.
I don't think you can pardon someone before he is convicted or while his case is under appeal

Additionally while I would welcome the pardon an obviously politically motivated move like that won't buy my vote

IINM you can pardon someone once they were convicted and sentenced, which he was.

https://www.thelakewoodscoop.com/news/2021/10/first-report-lakewood-cheder-purchases-30-acre-property-in-jackson.html

This would take around 500 buses a day off Lakewood’s roads. Problem is the current cheder and Bais faiga building will almost certainly house other schools which will be needed to accommodate the exponential growth which will mean zero net gain.

IINM, the new property in Jackson is only for the new Cheder (and soon to be announced new Bais Faiga). I don't think the old schools will be moving.

Though it does make sense for him to move Bais Faiga, as it's in separate buildings now.

If that is true it would actually be a help. Jackson drivers spend far more time, and therefore contribute  much more congestion to Lakewood roads than those in Lakewood with a shorter commute to school.

In fact the greatest contributor to the crazy traffic on Lakewood roads at this point is likely the thousands of Toms River and Jackson residents who are on Lakewood roads each day utilizing Lakewood’s schools, shuls, botei medrash, and shopping. What is desperately needed is for infrastructure to be built in those towns that will serve most of the needs of the residents there, as well as some on the periphery of Lakewood, taking thousands of vehicles and buses off of Lakewood roads each day.

It would definitely help, but I think the amount is overstated.

It's not like only Jackson students will go to the Jackson campus, and only Lakewood students would go to the Lakewood campus...

Obviously not exclusive, but there would be a high incentive for Jackson parents to send there (as opposed to currently where they have spotty bussing service, long rides etc) and a high incentive for Lakewood parents to send to Lakewood Campus to avoid same.

Indeed, but while it's a huge school, it's not the only school by far.

Once Jackson and Toms River have good schools that are up and running one would hope that kids would largely be accepted based on location. If a family moves from passaic to monsey is there any expectation that they will continue to go to Passaic schools? Why should  a family moving to Manchester or so deep into Jackson that they are closer to six flags than Lakewood expect a school 20 miles away in Raintree to accommodate them?

Back when Lakewood consisted of the area in between Private way and Lexington Ave it didn’t make sense to service kids based on location. Now it certainly does.

The pumpkin picture is absolutely mind boggling. I have no idea who was in charge of the decor but this is very upsetting. It would be upsetting enough to stam walk into a frum home this time of the year and see that tablescape, but to then seat the roshei yeshiva and poskim around that table???
