Na he took it to an extreme. His MO remained the same - top guy in learning, hanging out with non Jewish girls; since his teenage years. I thought he settled down after marriage, so I was shocked when this story came out - but was not at all surprised.

There's implication of maybe some fraud with the part about the charity page, but no real allegation made. I know nothing about the Sefer, and nothing about the story, but some of the halachos that might be used to be matir an aguna might apply to some situations of a get being withheld.

ive learn סי יז (a while ago) but honestly cant think of any...
there are many other סימנים in אבן העזר that would directly relate.

it is possible that the point was to show hes a בקי in אבן העזר so that whatever he said about his sisters get would be taken seriously

besides for the sefer, every single thing sounds completely made up.
also he gave a speech about "Embracing Self Doubt". Quite apropos.

from my impression- it wasnt just a few girls. he was very well known on the ny influencer scene. on the original tiktok video there was in a day over 500k views with tons of comments from ppl that knew of him. he hung out with celebrities claimed he was a saudi spy etc

Just wondering how he managed to be so many days and weekends (Shabbosim!!) off to build all these relationships and name recognition, which makes be think that his close family and friends new very well that he's יענס פויגל.

Why does it matter how many girls? And if he was known in a very specific 'scene', to me that still doesn't rise to the level of 'fame' that would warrant a 'takedown'. Maybe what was throwing me off is that someone said Vanity Fair originally, which IMO would be very surprising - a small article like this might not be all that out of character for a site like The Daily Beast, even without the orthodox jew angle.

i think ur overestimating how common it is for someone to pull off a prolonged scam on many ppl like this for years.
the proof is in the pudding, there were millions of views on videos made about it
