No crazy expenses in my family . No one besides me has a newer car ( I lease and have a crossover SUV at $266 monthly nothing down.. lease is up actually)

I grew up buying st thrift shop, neighborhood clothing swaps.

People need to not get sucked into luxury.

If anyone thinks less of me because of the car I drive, the clothes I wear, the apartment I rent. I don't want this person in my life.

I feel honored when my shul asks me to contribute, when I can help my siblings, that the Jewish publication houses know me.

We have a long way to go as Jews, to really weigh what's important.

Budgeting doesn't help when the income exceeds the basic expenses, with Bidenomics where the USD is devalued at 40% over the last three years, and salaries basically flat the only option left is borrowing - good luck.

When Biden says "Give them a 40% Raise" he means to say give the dollar the buying power it had before I took office.

the money saved by moving out to unpopulated areas is swallowed by the cost of services, should it be schooling, therapy, busing, kosher food (well depending what hechsher you're willing to eat) etc.

True, when you begin to budget when you're way further down the road with a whole family, it certainly is less helpful if their expenses exceed their income. However, still beneficial IMO.
