It goes into a parking lot entrance.
It doesn’t go to the entrance. It hits the curb head on, not the entrance. It isn’t usable.

Not only that, there are 2 poles at that point in the curb.

Gotta love the literal turning lane to nowhere these geniuses created by Cedarbridge and MLK. Only the government could spend tens of thousands to take away a shoulder that was functional for cars to make a right turn on red to MLK and instead put in a left turning lane that is unused because it goes… straight into a concrete curb!
It all depends on how far into opposing traffic one is willing to drive, till he turns left.
(It’s all a matter of perspective!)

I was at Southside and someone made the left from the light all the way into Southside entrance!

Did they move the entrance away from the intersection?
I wonder what people who type "u" instead of "you" do with all their free time.

I thought he had a serious spelling/typing issue until I saw that he printed a letter that underwent some bad OCR. It’s really sad that they got rid of the township meetings and no one really cares.

In other news, my voting place had only 15 voters as of 1:15pm today. Great turnout, love that everyone complains but no one cares to vote.

I voted by mail.

But indeed, turnout is low in the elections with no major contests. It's hard to get people to come out every time, and I feel like the askanim hold that it will lose them leverage when they really need it if they push for turnout on a year like this one.

I had planned on voting then forgot. Luckily, my preferred NJ senate candidate won either way.

Vine?

new road!! Yay but why so narrow? do they really think houses wouldn't get built on the sides? you can't park on the shoulder or make it into two lanes if needed.
all they need to do is add 2 feet on both sides what are they thinking?

well if you take a look at the turning lane on cedar bridge the only conclusion we can draw is that it was planned by union DEI group

Here are pictures of the new traffic pattern, after it was restriped tonight.
Vine Street opened today between Pine and Cedarbridge. I’m willing to bet this turns Cedarbridge into a parking lot at peak times.

Didn’t anyone notice as they were doing the work? Government at its best.

I’m just trying to picture the guys striping the turning lanes.

“Hey Bob, (stares at the plans and scratches head) maybe we should speak to the engineer guys before we stripe this?”

“Listen Mike, they ain’t payin’ us to ask no questions. They pay us to work. They want a turning lane, let’s paint ‘em a turning lane.”
It doesn’t go to the entrance. It hits the curb head on, not the entrance. It isn’t usable.

I'm sorry but you keep repeating the same stupidity. That lane goes into the parking lot. The parking lot opens to the intersection (not the entire intersection, but part of the intersection). Now, why would they dedicate a turning lane that will be used minimally? Because all you need is 1 car waiting to turn and it backs up the left lane.
I wonder what people who type "u" instead of "you" do with all their free time.

Happened to be nearby so I made a quick stop. Sorry, nope. I guess you could theoretically use the turning lane to go way past the light to scoot into the NEXT parking lot but that is not the way turning lanes are ever marked, not to mention it is a practically unused lot that usurped the heavily used right turn onto MLK.

I don't understand. It's a tiny strip with stores that almost never see any traffic. Why would they reserve the use of this lane for something that is unused 99% of the time in an area where a right turning lane would be used 99% of the time?

To solve your issue an island would serve the purpose.
