I hope this saves everyone some time I was trying to add my aa ff# to a BA res using finair (http://www.dansdeals.com/archives/29252)I have done that many times successfully in the past. This time a no go. I googled around and found that others were having the same issue "generic error" on finnair. The second suggestion by Dan and others is to add the AA FF# using royal jordanian, this works - but is a pain because it makes you put in your passport info (even for a domestic flight). So I started going through the One World partners and I finally found that Qatar's "Manage my booking" works quite well! Here is the link - http://www.qatarairways.com/global/en/manage-a-booking.pageEnjoy!
I've never had trouble with AA.com as long as I erase ba ffn before confirming booking
Before confirming booking? how's that when booking with BA?

I had also tried calling AA, useless.
Why the need to put in a legit passport number?
Why are you trying to have AA added on a miles ticket?
If you read the thread I'm sure you'll figure it out. Hint: free bags. Oops.
Thanks.Even if I don't add my AA ff number, can't I just show them my Citi AA card, when I am giving in my baggage?
