Adding AA FF# to BA ticket trick
« on: January 03, 2016, 06:03:42 PM »
I hope this saves everyone some time ;D

I was trying to add my aa ff# to a BA res using finair (http://www.dansdeals.com/archives/29252)

I have done that many times successfully in the past. This time a no go. I googled around and found that others were having the same issue "generic error" on finnair.

The second suggestion by Dan and others is to add the AA FF# using royal jordanian, this works  - but is a pain because it makes you put in your passport info (even for a domestic flight).

So I started going through the One World partners and I finally found that Qatar's "Manage my booking" works quite well!

Here is the link  - http://www.qatarairways.com/global/en/manage-a-booking.page

Enjoy!

I used Qatar's website in the past to choose seats for free with Air Berlin when Air Berlin wanted 30 Euro per seat per leg.

Why the need to put in a legit passport number?

Either way everyone should have their passport number ready at all times.

Why are you trying to have AA added on a miles ticket?

If you read the thread I'm sure you'll figure it out. Hint: free bags. Oops.

Thanks.
Even if I don't add my AA ff number, can't I just show them my Citi AA card, when I am giving in my baggage?

Good question. Since this is my first time hearing about this I don't feel qualified to answer the question. Also because I don't know
