I would make a fire and burn 100,000$ because it will probably be the greatest feeling in the world.

If I win then I will finally be able to give up DDFing and just relax the whole day.  ;)

On a serious note, I think that it's a lot more worthwhile to win a smaller lottery than such a big one. I always see statistics that lotteries kill people's life's, many times their relatives get kidnapped, and they usually lose their friends. That being the case, it is a lot more likely to happen when one wins such a high profile lottery. I would much rather win a $100M lottery than a $650M lottery. (I might only be saying this before the fact, but I think that I may be more qualified to say it now, without any blinding greed.)

I think the kidnappers will be fine with $100mil too. As for your friends, 100mil can change things too.
But why announce your winnings??

The greatest feeling would be taking that money out of the fire, and feeding 50,000 hungry children.

Nope. Since that would be happening with other 10,000,000$ that I got.
But you right someone needed to say that

Well do you see what type of people usual win? People that live in trailers or farms and never held more then 25k in their hand, so when they get such a large amount they lose their mind and everything goes down hill. And I think you would make friends not lose friends.

But why announce your winnings??
Only Delaware, Kansas, Maryland, North Dakota, Ohio and South Carolina allow anonymous winners.
Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.

in most states they announce your name, they don't give you a choice. It takes away from the credibility of the whole thing if nobody knows who won

What denominations will you burn? If you burn 1's, how will you know that the greatest feeling in the world isn't burning 100's? Or 1000's? You'll need to try them all. Maybe burn your old cheap house too. You could burn through your entire winnings.
