How long does the airline credit take to post?
(For Barclay's I usually book a SW refundable and cancel after it posts)

1. 50,000 sign up bonus after $3K spend, good for $1,000 towards travel (similar to barclays arrival, works on PGGM and refundables?)
2. $200 airfare credit (similar to Amex plat, works with PGGM?)
3. $100 GE credit (similar to Amex plat)
4. $995 AF, refunded if cancelled within 60 days.

If you complete spend within the first billing cycle you should be able to easily cash out and cancel.

Right but usually AFs are fully refundable within 60 days of posting. I guess my point was that you should be able to easily take advantage of this deal without having to swallow any of the AF. Sometimes spending is high enough (ie Amex plat 10K+10K spend) that normal people that don't MS ridiculous amounts would have a hard time finishing spend quickly and would need to at least pay a portion of the AF...

IMHO When they give you a statement credit they value that more.
Just  like the a visa gift card is worth much more then a Starbucks gift card.

You get the same value when redeeming for travel or regular purchases. Both 2%.

i think that`s strange (the arrival+card values a statement credit double of a travel credit)

Please do not confuse the $200 travel credit with redeeming points for travels.

With barclay's you'll probably be better off with booking a SW or JB fully refundable ticket for the $200 credit.

They make it difficult to REDEEM POINTS directly for travel, OTOH statement credit is simple:

the whole $1000 ticket thing seems to be marketing bs to hit Amex.

It's a %2 cash back card. No matter what you redeem for those 50,000 "points" will be a $1k statement credit (verified by the T&C)

Especially silly since booking a ticket with the points (as a travel credit) has tons of restrictions (see the terms, it's almost funny)

Nope. I've done it on barclays arrival, so I assume it would work here. But I guess refundable ticket is safer.
