Yes. Wasn't successful.
You cancelled within 60 days, and were unsuccessful getting the AF refunded?
No, that wasn't the question. There are several reports of successfully closing the account with the fee refunded. He was referring to just getting the AF refunded without closing the account.
So has anyone managed to get a refund for the AF ? Read through the whole thread other then one report due to account issues there are no reports to either way.
Harder then with other cards ?
1k AF? Yes.
but with regards to closing the account fair to say that there is ebough data that you will get back theAF?
No. It took me about 10 minutes to do one I found the right department. Just keep asking to speak with a higher department. The luxury card underlings can't do anything for you. The hard part is that they resist escalating you to a different department. It's actually pretty sad CS for a $1k a year card. Unfortunately, I don't have much more detail I can help with. I got it done though and the hard part was getting to the right department, not convincing them.
Bottom line what did you say? Just asked them to waive it?
I said that the annual fee hit before I had time to see if it was worth keeping the card and that I needed more time with it. Ridiculously simple but finding the department was hard.
Applied, got 10 day message. If like to call in today to get it pushed through so I can open another card today, what number can I call? The one on the website said they do not handle Recon.
What airline GC will trigger the credit? Will any airline work?
