Does checking in online 24 hours before the flight help at all or does it need to be done in the airport anyways so it makes no difference?
It all needs to be done at the airport.  The real question is if its worth going to the airport 24 hours before the flight to get the P1 status added.

I just flew delta this week. The service is good but the seats are pretty bad. Flat angle seats, very hard to sleep in.
Figures...
Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.
