Why is this surprising at all? If a late fee is $50 then on a $1000 rent you're getting a good deal.
I think the surprising part is that people are signing leases that are way above their means. Reckless.

IME, the only reason why one should ever pay a late fee on rent is because they made a mistake and forgot. Paying late because you don't have the money (barring unforeseeable circumstances) is ridiculous. Should've never signed the lease.

I agree wholeheartedly with your perspective, but I think there may be a situation which you may not be considering. What if someone signed a lease that they could easily afford and then there was an unexpected income change in their family which made rent very difficult to pay? Could it be that many more people are losing their jobs nowadays?

Was literally about to post this from your site. I go on every day. Your the man  :D

Would this be legit for MS or its to risky because of Radpad verification procedures?

Is this the next Google wallet?

If it is, can we not kill this one?

If this is legit; get one. You're going to be paying more rent than half of Manhattan would cost you.

They verify the landlord stuff, so not as easy as you'd think.

How do they verify it?

They called my building's management company to verify. If they suspect that you're messing around they'll ask for proof of lease and other documentation.
