Being from OOT we had dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs and hamsters all the time. It really is the best for kids to grow up with pets. Teaches responsibility and compassion. No doubt.

Yeah, when we lived in NY/NJ having a dog wasn't really something that was done.  Moving OOT made it an option. And yes, it's been amazing for the kids.
