Not only did I get 18 emails that my order shipped but I also have $220 of credits now for all the referrals. Not exactly sure why only some I got for but not complaining. Btw all the ones that shipped were mellisa and Doug stuff

I believe you only receive referral credit if the referred spent actual money, even $.01, and only after it ships. But you should be able to have more data on that than me.

I guess the few cents were worth spending so I don't need to subscribe again and unsubscribe from them again once this is done

I am not positive if you have to pay money or not, but either way the referral credit will not post before it ships.
