Italy and France

I am traveling with my wife and baby to Italy and France for 2 weeks. Do you have any suggestions for getting around while there or what to do while there.

im not sure how you want to budget your time, as i spent more than two weeks just in italy but when i was in italy (with wife and baby) i flew in to rome, took the train down to naples, flew from there to venice, took the train to florence and flew from florence back to israel via rome. as far as france, on a different trip i flew from london to nice, rented a car while i was in the south, then flew from nice to paris. (im not sure it was necessary to fly from nice to paris though)

A bit of a funny schedule, as also from Rome you could take just as well a trin to Florence (if Naples is ok).
You could make italy in a week and bit, if you only visit the top few cities, plus you prepared yourself).

I would look into a train pass or something like that.... The cities I would recommend (and I prefer Italy...) would be Venice, Florence, Rome (I personally didn't care for it too much..) in France Nice and Monaco are next to each other and can be nice and convenient if you're visiting Italy...

Shabbos in Venice is a must...

i spent 3 days along the amalfi coast (pompeii, vesuvius, sorrento, capri, positano) so i needed to take a train to naples, it wasnt just a way for me to get to venice (seriously, is that what you thought?!). and i personally found rome fascinating
