Based on the fact that everyone I go near there they are insanely busy. Their order department is also..


They are operating at full capacity. If they are still not killing it, then their whole business if flawed. - this I don't know.

I don't always see them busy, but when they are, they're packed.

do they have a lot of full-time employees that they need to pay? That can drain the income. Also building/utility fees and stocking up on fresh food every few days....

That's why I was asking if it was based in solid data. What I heard a little while ago was that the original plan was to be profitable after 5 years and based on their projections now it's 8+ years.

if all 5 GGs bought items as a group and had a central warehouse, then they could probably cut some purchasing costs by 20%-25% and perhaps they would be profitable sooner.

they can increase their 'loss leaders' by power buying with the other 4 GGs in NY. Big sales. If they'd buy all together, then they could probably get items as cheap as Bingo is getting them.

+1 as well as many of my friends, however most of us end up grabbing a few (or many) non sale items also. And even if and when they drop thier agressive sales I'm not quite sure where I'd go, after enjoying the experience I can't go back to npgs... evergreen..?
