Year In Review: 2015 Edition
« on: January 20, 2016, 10:33:27 AM »
For me, 2015 was busy, thankfully, and it appears I focused more on the Pacific/Asia region than EU (shocking! ;)) and it looks like this:

Green = Premium Cabin
Red = Economy Cabin

Totals:

Miles Traveled: 115,789
Miles Burned: See attachment (which shows total for 2 pax, Mrs. AJK and me).

Where did you go? How many miles did you burn? What type?

Were those all earned in the programs you used them? If not, what would it look like if you backed it out a level (ie UR, MR, etc.)? And what's the 4 by Fairmont? Is that 4 free nights as opposed to points?

ETA: Lol, beat me to it.

Not sure if I did it properly but this is all in J or F.. I'm quite surprised that I flew this much in 2015.
This is all not counting business trips, only pleasure.

Nice! You should include business, too. Why not?

4 Night at Fairmont.

(My Excel pivot table would not allow "nights" in there.)

You mean people don't keep track?  :o :o

yep, I dont really count.. I just book it the cheapest way at the time of booking & whatever it is I pay it gladly  :D
Ive been in this game only 3 years so everything that I get out of this is appreciated. Not taking anything for granted. Dont really save miles or care to know how much I burned.. Whatever it is it is  :)

If I have the ability to put my father/mother in J or F when they couldnt even afford Y thats the biggest kicker for me. I was laughing, he once told me.. He is probably the only passenger in the history of SQ R who flew with a broken suitcase. LOL

Anyways, BH you can do a lot of good with miles & if I can get a mitzvah out of this then its a hobby with extra benefits :)

I also "book it the cheapest way at the time of booking & whatever it is I pay it gladly" but that doesn't mean I don't keep good records...

I guess that's why some people are accountants and some are... political science teachers :)

I will say this though.. The Arno River suite (I think its called) in the St. Regis Florence is the nicest hotel I have ever seen in my lifetime. Thats probably the highlight over EK F, SQ R, CX F etc. etc.
That room is I dunno.. crazy!

Some ideas I have for 2016 (who knows what will happen though).....
South Africa, Thailand, Croatia maybe and Great Barrier Reef maybe early next winter.

AJK: are the mileage totals just for you, or do they include flights booked for the Mrs. as well?

Nice! You should include business, too. Why not?

If I included business trips you'd see a dozen or two ~100 mile flights :). Gotta love the accrual minimums.
