Do you think split the travel/points blog part from the deals part (it's a pretty unique combo as far as sites go) or do they feed off each other?
Who do you think you are fooling? You think you are going to pull a quick one on your Creator? Good luck with that.

If lets say I wanted a laptop, there would be a category for electronics-laptops, and there will be basic info on buying a laptop and also links to amazon (or something else) with referral links.
The main money issue is not 100K to update DDF, DDMS... it's to pay a new worker to keep everything updated.

Look at all those DDMS posts, half dans followers are just looking for someone to point at something.

Integrate links to flights, not just sales, but a deep description on how to book it thru his links, without a travel agent (obviously he only shows how to book thru his links and not in general, to keep people coming back).
So basically you want the ddf app to be like slickdeals app

What features would you like the app to offer?
An automatic reader which will read through everything and pour it into my brain, it's too much to read and so little time.  :D
My signature is worth more than that.

What I do agree is that there should be separate sections in the archives for card and travel posts, that are easier to find and access. Most of the deals are limited time, the credit card, airline booking tricks, tools, and knowledge, and travel posts are more general knowledge. The fact that they're 100% mixed together makes things harder to find.

DDMS is in desperate need of a refresh. Leave DDF alone except for a couple tweaks. No need for an app.
+1
I think ddf looks and functions perfectly fine.
Maybe add the ability to tag someone but that don't cost much.
You can always pay someone to add functions here and there.

The main site looks quite terrible though, and I don't think it should cost anything near 100k to redesign.
+1
Just a DDMS redesign wouldn't cost that much, but once I was hiring someone I'd probably better integrate DDF, an app, and some other ideas that would push the cost up.
I also think that it would be great to to better integrate DDF & other ideas etc., but why not try 1 step at a time , rather then doing nothing?

תפסת מרובה, לא תפסת.

What features would you like the app to offer?
By the comments there should be an extra comments section for DDF users, (either thru signing in to comments with their DDF login, or a link to a thread that the post is discussed there.) that way if I want to know info about a post/glitch/deal I don't have to filter thru %75 irrelevant comments.

Also maybe every DDMS post should automatically fetch the pictures from the link & add it to the post (where possible) For example when posting a amazon deal we should get to see more exactly & easier what product the post is talking about. (Specially useful for those that their filters block out certain sites, & they want to know if its worth running to another PC, or if they are on a phone if its worth to go to a PC)

Hmmm... Looking at the title of this thread didn't make me think I'll end up in another such a thread.  :-\

I think this thread should be renamed: Discussion of DDMS

Have a spare $100K lying around to redesign DDMS, DDF, add some new features, and get an app going?
I'll invest the first 25k

I've used them once. They stay rather warm for a while.

Any idea how much those hand warmers usually go for at Costco?

You shake them and they become warm within minutes. A friend of mine keeps them in his shoes when he needs to be out for a while. Personally I couldn't find an empty comfortable spot in my shoes to put them.

I didn't get the mouse Dan had listed.  I bought a different Staples mouse.  I hate it.  It seems to have a lag time between my mouse movement and my computer. But that's not it.   :(
