It's doable. I have a very busy equity partner in my firm who wanted to move to Israel. He works American hours in Israel and flies back once or twice a month.
That depends on the time difference. Sometimes working American hours can be smack in the middle of the night. LA is 10 hours behind Israel. Business hours on the west coast are 7pm-3am in Israel. Not ideal for most people, though I know some who do it.

Just finished - great job! Nice read, nice pictures, and glad you had a good time. Thanks for taking the time to write it up as we know how long that takes. Funny how that Tokyo Tower looks like the Eiffel Tower.

That's a lot easier than working on vacation abroad. Any tax professionals want to chime in on tax and work visa requirements if you bill hours abroad (I'm assuming in Yehoshua's case there isn't much of an issue, but in your and my case, there may be an issue)?
Some states may even consider that you are working in the state you are telecommuting to (NY, NJ and PA all do )
NJ made it famous with the Telebright case.
Israel, makes it a bit simpler with Olim, not sure of the exact details. "Tourists" never bother with a work permit...
The US will tax you on your worldwide Income regardless until you dump your citizenship

Thanks! Yup, they do look similar, except for the coloring (and I believe the Tokyo Tower is shorter, too). This time I opted not to post the whole thing at once for a change, but it sure makes it a lot easier to read the whole thing at once as opposed to in pieces over 2 weeks.

-1 IMHO
I'd rather appreciate installments (of course when their forthcoming in due time like yours), because not always do I have the time to finish it all in one sitting in which case segments are better; and also one full report can be overwhelming at times. Just my .02

Views from the 350th floor;
are there really 350 floors? google is quoting me way less. or is that because most floors arent actual floors?

350m is at the very most 120 floors
