Photoshop Master Thread
« on: January 21, 2016, 04:18:20 PM »
I think it's necessary to start this thread for editing help instead of using the photography thread.
Ask all your photoshop needs here.

I'll start by paging Something Fishy. Thanx for all your help!
So how do I edit the torch to get a good red color.
Also if I would want to get 2 colors in it how would I fade the 2 together?  for example red and blue?

This is what I've managed so far but seems like I've done too much saturation (something Fishy)

Also to merge 2 colors I'd have to blur / fade them into each other. How would I go about this?

Try select color/ replace with color

Play around with color balance and you should get the right results

Why is pantone black different than regular black?

What's "regular black"? And which pantone black - coated, uncoated, textile, or any of their numerous others?

It's a whole can of worms, as to what defines a color.

Basically I had an image in CMYK format. I needed it for printing on plastic. The printer told me I have to make a separate layer for all the black and change it to a pantone black. I was wondering what the difference was.

Threshold.

That being said pure black and white will look like an old fax. You need grayscale if you want it to look like a photograph.

Sometimes that's what you need.
I recently had a color logo I wanted to print in black, in grayscale it didn't come out right, had to change it to full black.

I am making an embosser and the company needs it to be pure black and white to produce it.
I couldn't figure it out with threshold. PM incoming obviously.
