Great news! free silver status for 4 months

Dear Mrs ******,

thank you for your e-mail.

We are proud to offer a silver status for next 4 months.
If following number of status miles or flights are accomplished, you will get the Silver / Gold Card for a further year.

Silver Card: 8,500 status miles or 8 airberlin & NIKI flights within 4 months
Gold Card: 17,000 Status Miles or 20 airberlin & NIKI flights within 4 months

Now you can also specify online in your topbonus profile your favorite route within Europe, where you can now earn double miles and thereby maintain your status or leave to upgrade.
Your Silver Card (valid from now until 30.06.2016) will be delivered in the next 21 days by mail.

Thanks for the update (and the earlier link to the form). How long between when you emailed it in and when you got the status?

I emailed them on Jan 31 and got the response about 6 hours ago

In Jan, they matched my expiring UA silver to AB silver for a year. I had just opened the AB account, and they even apologized in their email response saying I would first get the normal AB card in the mail before the silver arrived.

I sent the form in in February 10, and I just got an email informing me that I got silver status for 4 months. Seems that this challenge is still alive.

I finally heard from them today since they were waiting for a scan of my real Platinum United card. Now they are telling me I have to email them a copy of an Air Berlin flight I already took this year. I emailed them today that I want the status before flying. We'll see, but doesn't ;ook good.
