only thing that comes to head is to do this to achieve a milestone spend like 50k for mosaic with JetBlue and then cancelling it when it comes due next year. only issue it requires 30k spending limit and 30k cash liquid

Just saw this. Reminds me of something I once heard-

There was once an old street vendor who sold hot dogs. For years he had a simple wooden sign that said HOT DOGS- $1 EACH. One day a passerby noticed that the guy had a new sign, which said HOT DOGS- $1 EACH OR 2 FOR $3.

This passerby knew better so he handed the guy a dollar bill, took his hot dog, then pulled out a second dollar bill and bought a second hot dog, and walked away laughing at the old man. This scene repeated itself, customer after customer.

At one point someone noticed what was happening and asked the old man if he understood what was going on. He chuckled and said "Yes, it's simple- My price is a dollar. Until today most of my customers bought one hot dog, but today they're all buying two."

a priest and a rabbi sitting next to each other both collecting tzedaka. All the people passing by give to the priest and not to the rabbi with a sense of pride and vindictiveness. One guy comes by and feels bad for the rabbi and tells him maybe move to another location where you will have a better chance collecting money. Once he leaves the rabbi turns to the priest and says Yankel he is trying to tell us how to do business.
