It's also the next 9 months of having trouble falling asleep, wondering overall, plus asking yourself "I wonder if I got a mosquito bite last January?" That's the part that's not worth it - not just the visit.
Why not get tested immediately upon returning?
Not possible for most ppl - when I looked into that possibility I was told that only the dept of health does the testing and they will only do it for a pregnant woman or her spouse with symptoms
Ppl can make their own decisions, the problem that I find with many ppl ,( non DDFs ) is that they know nothing about it. Quite a few ppl had no idea that it can be transmitted.
My point is the CDC are the ones we make our decisions off yet when they say to go we don't listen and still say not to go bec of "what if what if". I would imagine they took that into account before issuing their levels
Might have about 4 days total (including travel time) to travel from NYC between now and end of March. Anywhere good (read: warm) with no Zika risk that's affordable and doable in that time frame? HI is out because there's not enough time. I know about Miami/South FL, looking for something more exciting.I also know about BDA, but the weather's not great and hotels are $$$.
How long ago was that? Summer? It used to he like that but I believe it has since gotten significantly easier.
