Frankly though it'll probably be guesswork. There are no studies into Zika that exist.

Not every medical question requires a doctor, just like not all legal questions require a lawyer. (No, it's not necessary to ask if tax evasion is against the law. It is.)

I was also planning on going with my daughter in May. But I don't think they really know much about it so I cancelled. Why take chances. Going to Tucson instead.

Fact remains that people on here may have seen medical studies of which I'm currently unaware that tend to show incubation period, or extent of immunity, or... something more than I currently know.

If you're not about crowd-sourced knowledge, and feel you have to phone your dermatologist every time you get a pimple, by all means. I'm just not like that.

CDC is saying that a woman should wait 2 weeks after contracting Zika before trying to conceive.

AFAIK a woman is immune for life after contracting Zika, but you would probably need to get tested to confirm that she did contract Zika.
Is that immunity 100%? I doubt anyone can guarantee that.
