Why does Florida have a disproportionate amount of people who travelled abroad and contracted Zika compared to the rest of the US?
Large Latin communities?
I mean sure, but plenty of people throughout the rest of the country also travel to the Caribbean.
Seriously?Look at a map. FL is very close to the Caribbean.
I'd like to see stats that say Floridians travel to the Caribbean the most out of any state in the US, which is of course possible, just found it surprising by how disproportionate it is.
Um, just look at the number of daily flights from FLL/MIA vs NYC to the Caribbean. My guess would be 20x.
Amount of flights could be impacted by people connecting via Florida.
Except for, you know, airlines such as Emirates, Turkish, etc.

Apocalyptic times. They're going door to door in Miami asking for urine samples!
they are claiming possibly that someone got zika in south america and came to Florida (zak the baker?) and got bitten by a mosquito and that mosquito is now passing on ZikaIf so that can happen anywhere....
