Originally booked one award using Singapore Airlines Krisflyer miles. then a better routing with Lufthansa became available, so i had them re-issue the ticket. they just charged me the additional taxes needed to fly on the new route + a $20 ticket re-issue fee.
The odd part is that i was emailed 2 separate e-Ticket numbers, one showing the original route and taxes paid, and new one showing the new route and the additional taxes paid. When i asked the Singapore Airlines agent, he told me that the old eTicket was cancelled, and only the new one is valid. but when i login into my booking on Lufthansa, who is operating carrier, i see both eTicket numbers referenced in the reservation.
Just want to make sure that this is normal and i won't experience any issues. Nervous as never encountered a scenario like this before.
