Never said it would earn miles, said it would earn medallion qualifying miles.
Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.

Is not saying anything a sign that this is being honored?
According to the new DOT rules, till when can they cancel?

I would imagine extremely few people knew about this, and even fewer took advantage, compared to a normal well publicized mistake. I'd assume they'll say nothing.
Who do you think you are fooling? You think you are going to pull a quick one on your Creator? Good luck with that.

Looking for some advice here with a lap-child on one of these flights.

Booked 1st class Tix for parents etc. wanted to book another ticket for all babies, not enough seats were available at eligible price. International flight so lap-child needs some kind of ticket. booked last ticket (child under 2) on a coach ticket on same flight.
[to be sure, booked a 2nd ticket on same flight for 1 parent in coach as well]

Should I:
A) Just cancel parent coach ticket? will they allow family on with parents in 1st and lap child ticketed in coach? (lap child request is 'listed' on parent ticket).
B) call up to purchase a normal child fare? (10% of cash price). ticket (1st) is now running about $300, but about $100 of it is taxes and fees. will a child booking cost $30 $120 somewhere in between?
C) pay about $90-100 to upgrade child's coach ticket to 1st.

Anyone with experience? or should I better move to the 'infant' thread?

Canada - US.
Pay taxes at check-in? Or need to call up in advance to book?
How much should that come to?

Yup. Leave extra time for this. I'd get there 90+ minutes before departure

Pardon the noob question, but do you mean they changed their flight schedule, and that gave you an opportunity to change or refund or what?

Yes, they changed the flight schedule (actually canceled the flight I was on). Haven't attempted to change yet (why would I cancel). New flight is not good for me, but this isn't until December so not worked about it yet.

Got it. So, you are capitalizing on their cancellation to give you broad flexibility to use that ticket for essentially any future date, so long as city pairs remain unchanged. Nice. Thanks.

Me too. They changed a December flight number and aircraft to no longer have Premium Economy.

About 5 of mine had departure changes. Would they allow me to change to whenever I want now?

personally, I'd avoid calling a live rep to discuss any of these unless 1) there are no other "250" reservations on the account and 2) you won't use the flight in question unless you get it changed.

If you do call, let us know how it goes!

Yeah my thoughts too. Not gonna call unless they "officially" honor these

And even so I'd wait it out a little bit

At this rate, I'm going to guess that they will honor these reservations since they've been quiet for a few days.
