YMMV whether with a 15 minute change they'll waive the fee. I did not have any success. If not, you'll get the vouchers for ~$70/each

Had a2 hour schedule change. I want to go on a westjet flight leaving closer to my original departure. Will I be able to do that? The fare is considerable cheaper, any chance I can get a voucher for the difference

YMMV. In circumstances where I've canceled the ticket outright due to weather delays and/or schedule change, I had no problem reissuing the ticket later for a WS operated flight (and pocket the difference for future travel). As an initial matter, however, they were unwilling to switch me to a WS flight in advance of IROPS when a weather advisory had already been issued, which was frustrating.

Received my latest "schedule change" email from delta today for a trip I doubt I would have taken, so all in all, have been getting great value from these this year. Was yours for a DL 4126 flight moved up a couple of hours?

They agreed to refund me (unfortunately, tickets were only $192 CAD). But they aren't sure how the refund would process. Waiting on hold with the refund department...

Just canceled out a $278 CAD YYZ-CUN trip x 4 and they're happy, due to Zika, to allow a free non-transferable reissue within a year of original ticketing.

Nice- let us know when you receive the check. Until I hear confirmation, I'm going the route of reissues.

I said you're sure I'll get refunded via check. She said she was positive. I'll keep you posted

Quote from: Delta Email
I’m happy to help with your request regarding a refund.

Since you used both miles and cash to purchase your ticket I’ve taken the following action.

About your Mileage
All mileage has been returned to the SkyMiles account from which the miles were deducted.   Miles redeposited to your account will appear within 7 business days.

Quote from: My response
On the phone they advised me that I would receive the cash value of my ticket back. I did not want to cancel if I was to receive my miles back. Please reinstate my ticket.

Quote from: Delta Email
I appreciate the opportunity to further review your request of xxxx.

When a ticket is purchased it can only be refunded to the original form of payment. Once the miles have been redeposited there is no way to reinstate those tickets. The most effective option is to call our reservations team to use the miles that have been redeposit towards a new purchase.

Please contact our Reservations team at 800-221-1212 for assistance and provide the ticket numbers listed above.

Quote from: my response
That is not possible. The price has gone up on these tickets. I can no longer get the tickets I need. I explicitly said on the call that I do not want to cancel the tickets if I will be refunded the miles. You can pull up the phone records to look this up. Please reinstate my tickets add requested.

I guess we'll see what happens. Think I'll win a DOT claim?

no- pretty standard for tickets to be refunded to the original form of payment,
regardless of what a CS rep says. Also, what do you think the DOT will make of your claim that "I'm entitled to $250 cash refund for the ticket I paid 250 miles for."?

Consider also that refunds have to flow through a separate department that ensures such matters are properly accounted for. That's why my approach has always been to just get the tickets canceled, pending reissue, rather than try to process a refund. In fact, I just landed this morning on such a reissued ticket.

I just want my ticket reinstated at this point.
The only form of refund they offered me was this

I've successfully canceled these tickets (schedule change) and rebooked onto a DL codeshare on WS.

Good times indeed! The last date I was able to get on the calendar as I recall was around December 25th, 2016. Validity of the tickets times out Feb. 26th. Have used approximately $5,600 worth of tickets for myself and family in the last year from this deal and, so far, have not forfeited any of them.

Yeah. One of the flights that I was giving up on (I had me+4 reservations, only I was going to fly) got delayed while I was in the airport. Called and got myself protect onto a westjet flight and the other four cancelled for rebook.
