And the fact that no one received the emails yet,
I'm guessing that they'll FIRST ride the signup wave for all it's worth (well past 10,000 application) and THEN send out the emails.
In any case the rush is not directly how soon you apply for the card, but how quickly you reply to that email...

Does anyone know how they verify how you earned the miles? The FAQ says 'Airline Credit Card Miles.' I have 100k+ in Delta from CC openings and other transfers but as this was done 1+ years ago with no activity since my current statement just shows the number of miles.

The cool thing about cap one "miles" is that u should earn flight miles since its a paid ticket

This has got to be the craziest deal I've ever signed up for - got my AA statement printed and ready to run as soon as I get that email but there must be a billion people waiting to race for those miles - ok maybe only a million after all this is capital one.

I got instant approval online and today got a letter that I am still pending so they have a really strange application process.

They are really making me regret this and if I don't get those miles and will have the 3 credit hits for naught I will be very annoyed.

Don't know for sure but their TC says your mileage statement so I got my AA march statement printed

I called 800-955-7070 to check the status of my application. First time I called was on Sunday, they told me they'll have a response by 4/10/2011. When I called today they said my application is in the last stage of processing and I can expect a response on Thursday. Hmmm.

All I can say - if I don't get those miles you can be sure I will be closing that account before I even activate the card if I do get it I will probably dump my us bank card for this as I should have no problem with last minute ticket redemptions and hotels in Israel, hence the reason for a non miles card being worth it.

I applied on friday with instant approval and now it says my application is under review! This whole system stinks!

Both my applications were also approved! The recording said that they will be mailing the card along with "more information" within the next 10 business days.

i have over 75k AA from citi (directly from CC) and over 100K Delta transfered from Amex MR. Cap1 only will look at 1 statement. which should i submit?

I spoke with Capital One, and can upgrade my CC to the Venture card.
My question – are they looking for a FF statement showing miles in your account or a CC statement that shows total miles earned from spending? I have 100K+ miles on Delta & AA, but have not earned 100k by spending on those CC's.
