It actually works! I split my ELAL bill into two parts - charging $1,000 on the Cap1 card. It posted today and I was able to request the $1,000 credit - yay!

anybody kno how long it takes for the application to process and you can send in the proof of milage from the other airlines??? got approved on friday and I'm worried that the deal will run out b/c of the cap

I used the application on this page and was able to get my miles matched.

Did you use 2 separate mileage programs for or the same one for both personal and business? They say you need 2 separate but do you think they really check?

I used two, Dan thinks they don't check, but I'm not sure (based on processing time delays).

The only way they can possibly know is if they put the mileage account number in a database and verify each number when they receive it.

They're not really worth anything for FFN purposes as there's no change given. And the expiration date doesn't help their value.
The question is if you're in a state like CA that doesn't allow for an expiration date on GC's is if you can get Hyatt to exchange them for non expiring ones.

Any reason you're suggestion to redeem for Hyatt as opposed to Ritz-Carlton or Fairmont?

Not too many other options that are worth it, from what I've seen. FYI, Cap1 rewards 'miles' are transferable.

I applied Capital one business card a week ago, and got the approval letter today. But I could not find security code in the mail for request miles. Has anyone have the same experience? Will I receive another mail for security code?

When I applied the personal one, I got approval immediately. So I go the security code by email.

It takes 8 days from approval date, you can always call and ask.
