Someone on Flyertalk confirmed that he was the mint was a valid purchase and that it worked for him so I just did it.

That makes sense. If I pay the in-site restaurant using the credit card, it may not post as travel related. If I charged the in-site restaurant expense to the room, then pay the hotel invoice using the capital one credit card, chance are they will be travel related. What do you think?
Makes perfect sense to me!   They don't itemize the charges on the credit card bill for a hotel.   It is all billed as a hotel expense.

I bought coins on both my Cap1 credit cards, and they were billed as a normal purchase.

I was accepted a week ago but still haven't received the email or my card.  I called Cap1 - they said they're still accepting proof if you haven't submitted it yet - but she can't guarantee anything. She gave me my passcode over the phone and I submitted. Let's hope this works.

Update: My Delta Screen shot was accepted for 100k. Basically you're good so long as you have a passcode.

I called c1 to lower my cash advance limit and they said they can't without changing the total credit line; the CA limit remains a specific % of the total credit line

Turns out it isn't so simple with CapitalOne. I called and asked, you have to cut your regular credit line too. You can do it with an AU's card though.

As I posted earlier - I bought $1K of coins and it posted as a regular purchase - on both mine & my wife's cards!

Here is a screen shot of the Cap1 statement - which also includes a $1K credit for an EL AL ticket  :) :) :)

Good Shabbos!

How did you spend exactly $1000 on El Al?

Easy - I had the travel agent charge two different cards  :)
$1K on this one, and the rest on an AAdvantage card

Only what is keyed into their system as a travel expense.   If you look at my credit card statement that I posted, you will see what I mean.
