That makes sense. If I pay the in-site restaurant using the credit card, it may not post as travel related. If I charged the in-site restaurant expense to the room, then pay the hotel invoice using the capital one credit card, chance are they will be travel related. What do you think?
Someone on Flyertalk confirmed that he was the mint was a valid purchase and that it worked for him so I just did it.
I was accepted a week ago but still haven't received the email or my card. I called Cap1 - they said they're still accepting proof if you haven't submitted it yet - but she can't guarantee anything. She gave me my passcode over the phone and I submitted. Let's hope this works.
I'm not sure. Set your cash-advance limit to $999 and try to order $1000 in coins, let us know what happens.
total newb question but how do I change my cash-advance limit?
Turns out it isn't so simple with CapitalOne. I called and asked, you have to cut your regular credit line too. You can do it with an AU's card though.
shux.... someone try the mint with cap1 and report plz... looking for brave soldiers that will scout out these uncharted waters... cant risk getting FR'ed
How did you spend exactly $1000 on El Al?
Easy - I had the travel agent charge two different cards $1K on this one, and the rest on an AAdvantage card
is buying coins on the Cap1 a FR risk? - final psak?
Cap1 does F/R too?
A jew answers with another question...
Anybody know if you can use the miles on all purchases or just travel?
