If she is an additional on the membership then no, but if not it shouldn't be a problem, just don't put yourself on it until after she's confirmed

Bought this deal, went to costco to redeem and they said if I pay another $55 for executive membership I can get an extra $20 cash card. She said if I decide I don't want it I can downgrade to Gold at anytime, and it sounded like I would get the full $55 back.
Haven't downgraded yet, but I probably will. If I get $55 back that is an amazing deal.
