I need to stay in Montreal for 1 night, deciding between the new Garden Inn and Homewood Suites. No reviews online yet as they seem to have opened just a couple weeks ago. The 2 hotels are on 2 sides of the same building.

Points rates are virtually the same (2k difference). Which would you stay in if you had to choose?

Hilton email says my status has been extended to March 2023. I am diamond through my Aspire card.
Anyone know if I cancel or downgrade the card will I retain my Diamond status until March 2023?

Officially it's up to 24h, but in experience it was been almost instantly

interesting any reason it would take longer?
it was already withdrawn from first account but it never appeared in the other one

No sure if the restrictions are checked manually, like the 2m limit of receiving etc

This should be the norm similar to how airline upgrades are awarded
best comment "a fanfare announcement that one of the elite perks (room upgrades based on availability) is potentially going to be honored now."
