I need to make a booking that will cost me approximately 150K Hilton, but I only have about 110K. If I find someone to buy from, can I transfer from one Hilton account to another? Alternatively, what's the most economical (and fast) way to get the last 40K?

Looks like a 1:1.5 transfer rate, so I would need to transfer 27K MR to get the 40K Hilton I need. Which means its more cost efficient for me to buy the 40K directly from Hilton for $340, or to just make a separate reservation and pay $300 for my last night instead of using points. When is the reservation for?
You could book the room as a cash night and change to a points night when you get the points...
If you have time you can get one if the Hilton cards

That about covers it. Or, if it's a weekend night (or can be), then you may wanna buy a night from coming who has/had the reserve card.

There is an 80k offer for the Hilton CC. It comes with 6x on groceries and gas. Does this make the Hilton CC worthwhile now for their worthless points?

Just read on Flyer talk from a person claiming to be a Hilton Rep., that in 2015 Hilton will be introducing Lifetime Diamond Status
