i called up and asked a basic question about availability at a hotel
they said i randomly qualified for a promo, anyone ever get that?
they offered me a few options in different cities, basically a very very cheap rate plus rebates plus points (who cares about the points) i just have to pay today and can change it for any date in the next year. i just have to tour the hotel when im there. the best offer she had was west 57th street hilton for 259 total for 3 nights. there was vegas for 99 for 3 nights.
she couldnt believe its not easy to get away when you have a child at home, so i turned it down

I've had this every time I've ever called Hilton. I doubt these people actually work for Hilton, they seem like they're from one of the timeshare consortiums. I once played along with it to see where it would go. Got the heavy handed sales tactics, guilt trips, ever decreasing prices, etc. I'd stay away.

I'm at a Hilton now for the next 2 days and apparently my Gold expired a couple weeks ago. Can anyone with Gold be so kind as to share their HHonors # and PW so I can use the free WiFi? You can of course change your PW before and after. Total shot in the dark here but I'm hoping the continued generosity of the DDF community will shine through as usual. Hilton is making new Wifi changes starting in second quarter and August.

- Hilton HHonors Diamond members will receive complimentary premium wifi starting in the second quarter of 2015 when booking directly through Hilton
- Hilton HHonors Blue and Silver members will receive complimentary basic wifi starting in August when booking directly through Hilton
- Hilton HHonors Gold members will continue to receive complimentary basic wifi

Hilton has now a 100% bonus for buying points that comes out to 0.5 cents a point, not a bad value if you need to top up a account
