I'm a diamond member with Hilton and the past 8 stays, I've gotten the best suites, all over Europe. It's all about who you talk to. Whoever needs help can PM me.
Even without talking to anyone, i have been upgraded nicely.

Yes, but typically you won't get a full suite. They often give you a "superior" or "executive" room, or maybe a junior suite. Talking to the front office manager beforehand goes a long way...

There’s no limited time offer for the Citi Hilton Reserve card, but it’s a great card as it which gives 2 free nights at any Hilton in the world (including the excellent Waldorf Astoria Jerusalem). It also gives Gold elite status for as long as you’re a cardholder, which gets you free breakfast, including the most over-the-top breakfast I’ve had in my life at the Waldorf Jerusalem.  If you spend $40K/year you’ll get top-tier Diamond status, which confirmed room upgrades and space available suite upgrade at hotels like the Waldorf Astoria Jerusalem. This card has a $95 annual fee.
I can't seem to find any mention of confirmed room upgrades for Diamonds on Hilton's website. Care to point me in the right direction?

None of the major chains, including Hilton, guarantee that a top tier elite will be upgraded, short of using an upgrade instrument.

All are space available.

Right, but with other chains you have the ability to use "an upgrade instrument" to confirm an upgrade beforehand. It seems that with Hilton you don't get anything like that. Which is why I don't understand that statement.

While not expecting it to work, i was able to guarantee an upgrade at a Crowne Plaza when booking.

If I booked the room in Hilton using AmexTravel and I am a Silver Member (I have Citi Hilton Card) will I be untitled to the Silver benefits (free WiFi, free fifth day, etc) or I have to book via Hilton to use the Silver member benefits?

IINM, if you don't book it through Hilton, you may not get the benefits.

This may be the wrong thread- but maybe someone can help me. (At least by directing me) ...

I recently stayed in Hilton tlv- and had 2 children with us.
after speaking to the mashgiach I was told the hotel was not mehadrin- so I brought milk and some stuff with us to keep in fridge.
I didn't realize that the stuff in the minibar had sensors ,
And now a week later I see an additional $50 on my bill, which they claim is from the mini bar...

Anyone ever have this?
Was it resolved nicely?
(I called them, they say will look into it but will take time)

I booked via amexTravel because they were offering $100 discount ... if I cancel the booking via AmexTravel and do it via Hilton will I have problems with Amex?

Why would you have Amex problems?

What benefits are you specifically looking to get from Hilton. I personally would not worry about it for a $100 savings. You will likely get it at the hotel and if not initially, push for it.

IIRC, you should be able to. It should also be pretty easy to get matched to Gold for her.

Well you would need your wife to match. Does she have a Platinum card?
