yes.

my point was if each night is 80k then 4 nights is 320k and 5th night is free.

Some people were hoping to save 80k when using a cert for one of the nights but they actually cheshbon it as 64k per night over 5 nights. So when you use a cert you only save 64k

any DP's of this working recently? I've called regular Hilton Honors customer service and Hilton Diamond Desk, spoken with managers etc and all say that they have a new points system that no longer allows it to go through by combining. even though it shows as 4 nights reservation with points (the certs being converted to points rate) it registers them as certs and errors when they try adding a 5th night.

Don't know about this case but ime reps know "garnisht" when it comes to certs.

Try making a 5 night reservation and then apply the certs to 2 of the nights.

tried that. they said the system errors out on them because even though they were able to make it one long 4 night stay it triggers the certs as a separate rate when adding a 5th night.

called hilton for something and they told me i have one free weekend cert on file

what it is for? it seems to be issued about a month after i matched to diamond, on the day i redeemed some points, but no idea what it is for.

anyway, CSR said i have to book it by expiry, but could stay later, is that correct?

Officially hilton have to stay by expiration.
IHG u just have to book by expiration

Just received my Hilton night for the 10k spend last year. My anniversary date is August. So, do you think if I spend 10k more by 12/31/17 I will receive another night even though Citi is dropping Hilton as of 12/31/17?

Hilton is dropping Citi :)not the other way around, you should get the free night for spending the $10k before 12/31.
